significantly improve the patient's quality of life and overall health.

Dental implant systems typically consist of a dental implant body and a dental implant abutment. The dental implant body is surgically inserted into the jawbone in place of the tooth's root. The dental implant abutment is usually attached to the implant body by an abutment fixation screw and extends through the gums into the mouth to support the artificial teeth that are attached to it.

Dental implants are medical devices that are surgically implanted into the jaw to restore a person's ability to chew and improve their appearance. They provide support for artificial teeth, such as crowns, bridges, or dentures.

When a tooth is lost due to injury or disease, it can cause complications such as rapid bone loss, speech defects, or discomfort when chewing. Replacing a lost tooth with a dental implant can

Anyone who has lost one or more teeth is a potential candidate for a dental implant, as long as they have good general and oral health and have sufficient quantity and quality of bone in the jaw or maxilla to support the implant. It is also important that the patient has good oral hygiene and is willing to follow postoperative instructions to properly care for the implant. In cases of periodontal diseases or medical conditions such as diabetes or osteoporosis, the patient may require a more thorough evaluation before determining if they are a candidate for a dental implant.

Is CT Scan necessary for placing implants?

CT Scan, also known as computed tomography, is a diagnostic tool used in dentistry to evaluate the bone structure of the jaw and maxilla. Computed tomography provides a detailed three-dimensional image of the bones and surrounding tissues, allowing for an accurate assessment of the quantity and quality of available bone for dental implant placement.

Benefits of dental implants include:

  • Restoration of the ability to chew properly

  • Improved cosmetic appearance

  • Prevention of jawbone shrinkage due to bone loss

  • Preservation of the health of surrounding bone and gums

  • Stability of adjacent teeth

  • Improved overall quality of life

DENTAL IMPLANTS PROCESS

Phase 1 - Implant Placement / First Visit

Dental implants in gum with adjacent natural teeth in jaw

On the first visit, three days will be required. During these days, a physical evaluation will be performed, a CT scan will be taken to determine the amount and quality of existing bone. Subsequently, digital planning of the implants will be carried out. The patient will be presented with the case and treatment options, and any existing doubts will be clarified. Once the dental treatment is accepted, surgical guides are prepared and the patient is scheduled for the following day. On the second day, extractions and bone grafting are performed if necessary, as well as implant placement. On the third day, there will be an evaluation appointment to finalize this stage. Afterward, a four-month period is required for the implants to integrate into the bone before continuing with the treatment. If you have a limited budget, we can help you secure financing for your dental treatment.

Phase 2 - Abutment Placement / 2nd Visit

In this phase, the implants are ready to be restored. Radiographs are taken and the implants are uncovered, connectors are placed, and impressions are taken to fabricate the crown that will go over the implant. This process takes a couple of hours. An appointment is then scheduled for the following week to place the crown.

Phase 3 - Crown Placement

At this appointment, the crown made of the agreed material is placed, and the process is completed. With proper care, the implant can last a lifetime.

Around 98% of the implants are successful and with adequate care they can last a life time
